Free Anti-virus protection from Grisoft Inc.

     Grisoft Inc., is offering a free version (USA only) of their anti-virus software. Easy to install and use, it features automatic scheduling and automatic updating.

      It's well worth your time to stop the spread of viruses, protect your computer, and save the expense and/or time of reloading as the result of an increasing number of email viruses and worms.

      If you have other anti-virus protection software besure to update it often. If your version can no longer be updated (such as an old version that is no longer supported by its creator) then by all means try this free program (only have one anti-virus program running on your computer at a time).

ActiveScan is a service, not a download, so you won't be installing any programs. When you click the link, you'll be directed to Panda Software's site, where you can use the free service. The type of scan is selectable, ie., Email, partial files, or a complete scan. A complete scan maybe lengthy especially using dial up at less than a 56k connection. Example: my 3.0 GB scan at 56K with a good connection took approx. 1 hour.
